    BACKGROUND

•The World Bank (WB) KDCs in the Philippines are justifiably called “centers for knowledge for development” because they provide rich sources of WB development knowledge as well as development publications from other donors, organizations, academics, experts, and research institutions.

•The World Bank actively promotes networking and outreach to clients, partners, and stakeholders in communities where KDCs are set-up, thereby opening and expanding access to the Bank, and promoting the creation, sharing, and use of ‘knowledge for development.

•To this end, The World Bank partners with local leading learning institutions in various regions of the country to promote sharing of development knowledge.
