| •The World Bank (WB)
KDCs in the Philippines are justifiably called “centers for knowledge
for development” because they provide rich sources of WB development
knowledge as well as development publications from other donors, organizations,
academics, experts, and research institutions. •The World Bank actively
promotes networking and outreach to clients, partners, and stakeholders
in communities where KDCs are set-up, thereby opening and expanding access
to the Bank, and promoting the creation, sharing, and use of ‘knowledge
for development. •To this end, The
World Bank partners with local leading learning institutions in various
regions of the country to promote sharing of development knowledge. •Established in partnership
with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the World Bank. •Offers an extensive
collection of development publications and World Bank project documents
to students, researchers, NGOs, media, government agencies, and business
firms. •Open to the public. •Offers easy access
to a wealth of information through the Internet and a diverse collection
of World Bank publications and other special books and documents. | ||||||||||||
