The Asian
Institute of Management and World Bank Global Distance Learning Center
(GDLC) - the first dedicated videoconferencing equipment
linked to the World Bank's headquarters in Washington D.C. and various
Distance Learning Centers around the world under the World Bank Global
Development Learning Network (GDLN). The GDLC uses communications technology
that surpassses international standards and has a seating capacity of
45, with 30 fully dedicated computer terminals to facilitate hands-on,
asynchronous learning sessions.
